Seafront promenade and beaches
The Paseo Marítimo Rey de España in Fuengirola is one of the longest and most spectacular seafront promenades on the Costa del Sol, stretching between 7 and 8 kilometers along a completely flat coastline. This route runs the entire length of the municipality's coastline, connecting its seven main beaches, all of which are urban, with calm waters and excellent accessibility.
Main beaches of Fuengirola:
The coastline is divided into different bathing areas with environments for all types of visitors:
- Los Boliches beach: It's one of the most popular and lively beaches. It boasts fine golden sand, very calm waters, and a wide variety of amenities, including children's play areas and water sports. Highly recommended for families.
- Fuengirola beach (or San Francisco): Located in the heart of the town and next to the Fuengirola Marina, this spacious apartment is easily accessible and surrounded by a lively atmosphere with shops, ice cream parlors, and bars.
- The Castillo beach (or El Ejido): Located at the foot of the historic Sohail Castle, it offers a more natural landscape and features a famous fenced area that allows access with dogs.
